IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Phase 1 LEAP and GEE will be administered on March 23, 2010. ELA writing and math contructed response items for Grades 4 and 8 will take place at that time. Also, ELA writing and Math, Science and Social Studies constructed response for high school will take place on this date.
Phase 2 will be administered during the week of April 12 - 16, 2010. The remaining LEAP items, all of iLEAP and all of LAA2 will be take place during this time period.

Rebecca Clark, Parks Middle School teacher, received the following grants: $400.00 from Society of Petroleum Engineers for science classes to celebrate Youth Wetlands Week in April; $500.00 worth of sewing machines from KATC Tv 3 Tools for Schools; $750.00 in science lab supplies for seventh grade students from Quality Science and Math Grant and $800.00 for seventh grade students to attend the Global Wildlife Center from Target Field Trip grant.

 

Breaux Bridge Primary School has been awarded $750 Grant by Exxon/Mobil Educational Alliance. Click here for further details.

 

Congratulations goes out to Breaux Bridge Primary for being named one of the 35 High Performing/High Poverty Schools for this school year in Louisiana. Go to the News section to read further details. 

 

Cecilia High School has received the "2009 College Readiness Award" from the Louisiana ACT Council for increasing the number of students taking the ACT assessment over the past five years and significantly increasing their level of achievement and college readiness.  Only 29 high schools in Louisiana were honored for this superior level of accomplishment. St. Martinville Junior High Receives Book Grant
Saint Martinville Junior High was selected by Townsend Press Foundation to be one of 400 schools to receive free copies of The Bully by Paul Langan for every 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student. The goal of the Foundation is to partner with schools to help more students discover the pleasure and power of reading.
