The Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) was enacted by Congress in 2000 to address concerns about children’s access to obscene or harmful content over the Internet. In accordance with CIPA and St. Martin Parish policy, teachers shall ensure students are provided age and grade appropriate instruction in the following areas: Internet Safety, Social Networking, and Cyberbullying. The following resources are provided to assist teachers in complying with the law.
